SOLUTION |
| Moisture Content of Stock Too High or Low
| Do not dry stock below 5% moisture content. |
| Humidify plant if below 25% relative humidity. |
| Dehumidify plant in rainy seasons. |
| Be sure stock is within proper moisture content. |
| Improper Conditioning (Hot Press)
| For gradual cooling of panels, and to prevent warping, panels should be squarely dead stacked and weighted for 12 hours after removing from press. |
| Press Temperature Too High
| Do not use high temperatures to attain short pressure periods unless moisture content is carefully controlled. |
| Press Period Too Long in hot press
| Avoid excessive drying or over-curing. |
| Do not leave panels in hot press during lunch or breaks. |
| Always remove panels as soon as hot press is opened. |
